SCOTLAND’S WILD PLACES, PAINTED WITH FEELING

I’m a Scottish artist based in Glasgow, inspired by the wild beauty of Scotland’s west coast and the places I discover along the way.

Working in oils and watercolour, I’m drawn to changing light, reflections on water, shifting skies and the quiet power of the landscape. Rather than simply recording a view, I try to capture how it feels to be there — the atmosphere of a place and the impression it leaves behind.

Arran has a particular hold on my imagination. I spent much of my childhood there, and its mountains, beaches and extraordinary changing light continue to find their way into my work. More recently, my travels around Scotland’s islands and coastline have given me an ever-growing source of inspiration.
