More about my art

Captivating ancient standing stones in Lewis against shifting skies with unique light.

I am a Scottish artist inspired by the natural beauty of the west of Scotland and Glasgow and the many places I explore. My work draws deeply from the landscapes and seascapes around me with a particular love of the ever changing light on water and the quiet power of nature..

I paint in both oils and watercolour capturing not just the look of a place but the impression it leaves behind.

I am particularly drawn to Arran and the west of Scotland having spent much of my childhood there. The wide shifting skies have a special hold on my imagination and continue to influence much of my art.

I also like to paint animals and am available for commissions in this and all other areas
